Backlinks Blogging Begins Today

I started 100 Free backlinks back in January 2011, just earlier this year as a place to blog about backlinks and to give away free backlinks packets to my subscribers each month.  At first I just sat on a squeeze page while building links as a test to see how quickly I could rank with just a simple squeeze page and no other pages.

I got this website to page 2 of Google in about 6 weeks.  That’s not bad considering it is a brand new domain name fresh out of the Godaddy registrar and the fact that it was simply 1 page of content.

It’s been 8 weeks and I got to around position #15 for the keyword ‘backlinks’ and now I know if I want to keep this moving up to page 1 and the eventual journey to the top 3 I’ll need to start adding some value and quality to this site.

Sure backlinks are very important to your search engine rankings, but if you are in a competitive niche then you need to also create a site that adds value.  Google doesn’t merely rank sites based on how many backlinks  they have, they rank on the quality of the site as a whole.  Remember this when you get stuck somewhere on page 2 or 3.  Take a look at your competitors and look to see if they have a better overall site than you do.  If so take notes and make some improvements to your own site.

There is absolutely nothing ground breaking about the type of backlink building I’m doing, it just takes work and a solid plan that you follow through on each day.  There are also dozens of little techniques that I employ that make this so much more effective than just building thousands of links.  I’ll be touching on all of these energizing techniques in the upcoming weeks as I reveal many tips to get you to the top fast.

What Do I Know About Backlinks?

You might be wondering aside from ranking this page so quickly for a tough SEO keyword if I have any other proof of knowing what the heck I’m blogging about.

In 2010 I entered the world of internet marketing and search engine optimization and in my first year I nailed dozens of #1 rankings on high to medium competition keywords and started an SEO consulting company called Increase Traffic Rank that currently holds a #1 ranking for the keywords ‘increase web traffic’ and ‘increase website traffic’

I consider myself more of an SEO Engineer and Backlinking Engineer because I’m constantly looking for innovative ways to rank a websites keywords fast and effectively.  I like to find the shortest point from A to B and have some really great tips to teach you.

What’s Next Here at 100 Free Backlinks?

Well, now that I’m 8 weeks into this project it’s time to turn up the heat and see if I can make it to #1 before the end of this year.  It looks like my main competition is Wikipedia (which for some reason is favored in Google and gets unfair rankings bonuses no matter how sparse of content some of their pages are), and several sites on page 1 that have 100,000+ backlinks.

I don’t plan on out linking the sites already in the top 3.  I don’t have time to outlink them in less than 10 months so I need to put together some awesome strategies to push this site to the top.  Along the way I’ll share some of it with you, and some things will be kept in my top secret arsenal.
